The selection of motor bearings is crucial to the overall performance of the motor. When selecting bearings, a thorough assessment of the bearing's suitability must be made. First, it is necessary to evaluate the design life of the motor and bearings as well as the fatigue life of the bearing itself to determine the appropriate bearing size. At the same time, attention should also be paid to potential problems such as grease aging, wear and noise. In addition, depending on the specific use of the motor, comprehensive consideration must be given to the bearing's accuracy, fit, clearance, cage, lubrication, sealing, loading and unloading and other characteristics.

During the bearing installation process, the coordination between the bearing inner diameter and the shaft, and the outer diameter and the shell is a key link. If the fit is too loose, it may cause creep, thereby damaging the shaft or housing, and causing wear powder to invade the inside of the bearing, causing heat, vibration and performance degradation. If the interference is too large, it may change the inner and outer diameter dimensions of the bearing, reduce the internal clearance, and even affect the accuracy of the bearing ring.

When selecting motor bearings, various factors such as size, accuracy, fit, clearance, cage, sealing, lubrication, special requirements, installation and use should be comprehensively considered. Here are some key points you should pay attention to when selecting motor bearings:

1. Motor bearing size selection: According to the machine used and design life, increase the fatigue life coefficient appropriately, but pay attention to the strength, rigidity, installation size and other factors of the shaft. Bearing size selection should match the specific model and specification of the motor.

2. Motor bearing accuracy selection: General industrial motors can use P6 and P0 level precision. Bearing accuracy is divided into five levels: P0, P6, P5, P4, and P2, which are increased in order. The accuracy selection of bearings should be based on the performance requirements of the motor and the operating environment.

3. Principles for selection of rolling bearing fits: Select the appropriate fit based on load conditions, load type and size, bearing size and other factors.

4. Motor bearing clearance selection: Bearing internal clearance is divided into radial clearance, axial clearance and angular clearance. When the bearing is running, the clearance generally becomes smaller, resulting in reduced bearing life or heat generation. Therefore, the initial clearance of the bearing should be slightly greater than zero.

5. Motor bearing cage material and structure selection: Select the appropriate cage material and structure according to the use requirements of the bearing, such as stamped rivet cages, stamped corrugated cages, stamped crown cages and solid nylon cages, etc. In the selection of bearings, the selection of cage has an important impact on the stable operation and life of the motor.
