The magnetic pump is a kind of non-contact torque transmission through magnetic transmission, thereby replacing the dynamic seal with a static seal, making the pump completely leak-free. Since the pump shaft and internal magnetic rotor are completely sealed by the pump body and isolation sleeve, the problem of "running, popping, dripping, and leaking" is completely solved, and the potential safety hazards of flammable, explosive, toxic, and harmful media leaking through the pump seal in the refining and chemical industry are eliminated, effectively ensuring the physical and mental health of employees and safe production.
1. Protection measures for magnetic pumps:
When the driven parts of the magnetic actuator operate under overload conditions, the driven parts of the magnetic actuator will slip on the shaft, effectively protecting the motor.
When a chemical magnetic-drive pump operates, a small liquid flow must flush and cool the annular gap between the inner magnetic rotor and containment shell, as well as the sliding-bearing friction surfaces. Cooling flow is usually 2%-3% of the pump's design flow. Eddy currents generate considerable heat in the annular gap. If cooling and lubricating liquid is insufficient, or flushing holes are restricted or blocked, the liquid can exceed the permanent magnet's operating temperature. The inner rotor then progressively loses magnetism and the magnetic drive fails.
When the medium is water or water-based liquid, the temperature rise in the annulus area can be maintained at 3-5°C; when the medium is hydrocarbon or oil, the temperature rise in the annulus area can be maintained at 5-8°C.
2. Compared with motor-type brushless DC chemical pumps,
Magnetic pumps have the following advantages:
The pump shaft changes from a dynamic seal to a closed static seal, completely avoiding medium leakage. It can be used on both land and water and is completely waterproof.
There is no need for independent lubrication and cooling water, which reduces energy consumption.
It has low power consumption, high efficiency, and has a damping and vibration reduction effect, which reduces the impact of motor vibration on the pump and the impact on the motor when cavitation vibration occurs in the pump.
When overloaded, the rotor will slip on the ceramic shaft, which protects the motor and pump.
This will cause the medium temperature to be higher than the operating temperature of the permanent magnet, causing the internal magnetic rotor to gradually lose its magnetism.
