1. Drilling rig failures are divided into five categories:
Mechanical failure, hydraulic failure, electrical failure, engine failure, mud pump failure.
Mechanical failure: mechanical defects, deformation of fixed parts, transmission parts, etc.
Hydraulic failure: failure of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, pipes, etc., and all hydraulic components.
Electrical faults: faults in generators, starters, switches, fuses, and electrical circuits.
Engine failure: Failure in all parts of the diesel engine is an engine failure.
Mud pump failure: Failure of all parts of the mud pump is a mud pump failure.
2. Fault analysis and troubleshooting methods
A. Minor failure
1, oil pipe leakage: Check whether the nut is loose. Whether the O-ring or combination pad is damaged. Whether the pipe joints do not match. Check whether the pipe joint is not fastened tightly.
2, poor circuit contact: Check the fuse, whether various wire ends in various parts are loose, whether the circuit is aged or worn out, etc.
3, oil pipe is worn: check whether it is rubbing against metal. Are the oil pipes rubbing against each other?
4, partial indication pressure failure: whether the water meter pipe is blocked, whether the meter wire is disconnected and failed, whether the sensor fails, the meter quality problem, and the system has no pressure.
B.General fault
1, pipe burst: fault analysis and troubleshooting methods - check the pipe material. Is the pressure too high? Are the joints pressed properly? Is the burr severely worn? Whether the oil pipe and other components are extruded and deformed.
2, track deviation: whether the main pump flow is the same on both sides of the track. Is the overflow valve broken or stuck? Is the large pump broken or leaking internally? Is the motor balancing valve out of adjustment? Is the multi-way valve leaking internally?
3, the center line of the clamp is off-center: the power head splint is improperly adjusted, and the height can be adjusted by adding a backing plate. The deformation of the clamp assembly can be corrected.
4, the fixture cylinder expands and contracts inconsistently: the oil supply to the cylinder is inconsistent. Adjustable tee aperture. Adjustable clamp balancing valve.
5, the clamp cannot be clamped tightly and it is difficult to shackle: the clamping strip is worn. Insufficient oil line pressure. Hydraulic lock failed. The oil cylinder is leaking. Torque is too high. Excessive wear and insufficient stroke.
6, push-pull failure: whether the operating valve, main pump, and multi-way valve are leaking internally. Whether the stress source is insufficient. Are there internal leaks in the safety valve, cylinder, and motor?
7, rotation failure: Whether the operating valve, motor, multi-way valve, and main pump are damaged or leaking internally.
8, various acceleration failures: whether the main power supply is out of power or short circuited. Is the flameout device malfunctioning? Is the solenoid valve coil broken? Is the valve core stuck? Is the accelerator switch or accelerator pump damaged?
3. Common horizontal directional drilling rig failures and solutions
9, the mud pump does not work: whether the circuit, oil circuit, and mud motor are in unclear or neutral gears. Is the control valve not working? Is there any air leakage in the pipeline?
10, flameout burnt out: circuit breakage, improper adjustment or water intrusion.
11, the rotating water seal is leaking: the water seal is broken (the shaft and bearing are broken). The V-shaped clamp ring is installed backwards or severely worn.
12, walking system failure: whether the walking system switch fails. Oil line problem. Is the solenoid valve stuck? Circuit problem. System pressure is insufficient.
13, various temperatures are abnormal: the sensor or meter is of the wrong model. Is the engine thermostat malfunctioning? Is the belt too loose? Is the water pump tank blocked? Is the oil temperature too high? Whether the load is too large. The working hours are too long, the temperature is too high, etc.
14, various pressures do not meet the factory standards: various pumps, valves, cylinders and other oil circuits are leaking internally. Is the relief valve core blocked? The adjustment is unreasonable.
15, circuit switches failure: insufficient battery, circuit problem (main switch, fuse).
16. Difficulty starting the diesel engine: whether the voltage is low, whether the starter is damaged, whether the timing of the diesel engine is incorrect, whether the fuel supply system is abnormal (air or filter is blocked), whether the intake and exhaust system is blocked, whether the temperature is too low.
17, oil inlet and return pipes of diesel engine are leaking: Are the joints not properly connected? Is the pipe leaking properly? Whether the joint is desoldered.
18, each control handle fails: Is the hydraulic oil pressure insufficient? Check whether the operating valve is broken or severely worn and leaking internally.
19, power head transmission failure: whether the reversing valve is damaged. Is the flameout device malfunctioning? Is the solenoid valve malfunctioning?
20, mud pump does not pump water: circuit or switch. Mud pump failure: Check whether the bearing is bad or stuck. Is there an oil line problem? Is the valve blocked by water sewage? Is the suction pipe leaking? Is the mud pump in neutral? Is the mud motor not working. Check whether the steel sleeve and piston are severely worn and leaking.
21, generator is not charging: regulator, engine is damaged. Broken fuse or circuit problem.
22, oil leakage from the inner ring of the compartment: Is the inner ring of the compartment damaged? Is the spindle worn? Are the bearings bad?
23, hydraulic oil enters the air: Check whether the oil inlet pipe is broken. Is the oil inlet sealing tight? Is the pump broken? Is the filter element severely blocked and sucking in air? Check whether the internal and external oil suction pipelines are leaking.
24, mud pump leaks oil and water: Are the oil seal and water seal broken? Is there any mud leakage?
25, each lift fails: the overflow valve is broken or stuck. The pump or valve is broken or leaking internally. Internal leakage of oil cylinder, etc.
C. Serious failure
1, main oil tank burst: hydraulic system failure, oil return is not smooth. Fuel tank quality issues, etc.
2, chassis and frame deformation.
3, the holder is deformed and cracked.
4, main oil pump, oil cylinder, motor, etc. are damaged.
5, the main valve block is damaged.
6, engine failure. If a fault occurs during the operation of the diesel engine, the cause should be carefully analyzed in order to make a correct judgment and prepare conditions for troubleshooting and accident prevention. Usually, methods such as seeing, listening, touching, smelling, and inspection are used to analyze and judge the fault.
"Looking": Visually observe the appearance of the diesel engine, the indications of the instruments, and the color of the exhaust smoke to see if there are any abnormalities.
"Listen": Distinguish through hearing the normal explosion sound of the diesel engine and the abnormal sound such as abnormal mechanical friction or impact.
"Touch": Use the method of feeling to judge and determine the severity and specific location of the fault.
"Smell": Use the sense of smell to determine and identify abnormalities in certain parts of the diesel engine.
"Inspection: Disassemble and inspect parts that may malfunction, and pay attention to the damage of related parts. Make a comprehensive analysis and determine the real cause of the failure, and then "prescribe the right medicine" to the cause of the failure to eliminate and formulate preventive measures.
