China's steel output is huge, and steel mills have a huge demand for grease. However, at the same time, the working conditions of steel mills pose huge challenges to the performance of grease: high temperature, excess water, heavy load, etc. Once the lubrication fails, the grease in the bearing may turn black, coke and carbonize, causing difficulty in bearing operation, increased wear, and severe bearing burnout. Such losses will be a huge economic loss for steel mills with very large output. Therefore, choosing the right grease is critical.
Selection requirements for grease used in steel plants:
1, extremely strong oil film lubrication strength: Most metallurgical equipment is subject to heavy load impact or vibration during work, which is not conducive to the establishment and maintenance of oil film in its lubricated parts;
2, extremely strong protective performance: The equipment has been in harsh working conditions for a long time, such as large dust, waste oil impurities, water-cooling media, corrosive gases, etc., which can easily corrode the surface and lubricating parts of the equipment, causing the working medium of the equipment to easily deteriorate and accelerating the wear and tear of the equipment;
3, excellent water resistance: Due to the high operating temperature of the equipment, the water cooling system is often used to directly cool the lubricating parts and equipment surfaces, which can easily cause the lubricating material to emulsify and deteriorate, requiring excellent oil-water separation performance of the working medium;
4, excellent pumping performance: Due to the large structure of the equipment and its many lubrication points, manual grease injection is difficult, so centralized automatic lubrication systems are often used;
5, outstanding anti-pollution performance: Most equipment transmission systems are relatively simple, and there are many open transmission systems. The anti-pollution ability and extreme pressure resistance performance of lubricating materials are required to be high.
Therefore, heavy duty greases with extremely high load capacity at high temperatures, excellent water resistance, superior corrosion protection and outstanding performance are suitable for use in steel plants. Contains no heavy metals and environmentally harmful ingredients. This high-efficiency grease has long life at high temperatures and extreme pressure properties, effectively extending the life of bearings in steel mill production equipment.
